Baby Nixon Discharged from IJN (10/2/2011)

This is baby Nixon and he looks so chubby .

Nixon just discharged from IJN Hospital.

The first hospital visit ,we didn't manage to see

Nixon while he was at the PICU but we prayed

for Nixon's parent .

Nixon's parent, Tony Wiriyanto & Angeline Handoko .

The couple is from Indonesia and they do not

know anyone in Malaysia. Philip Chan & Karen

know them & they worship in the same church

in Indonesia. Karen requested CalvarMen to visit

them in IJN Hospital.

It was our 2nd hospital visit and they were very

touch . Since CNY they received Chinese New Year

goodies & gifts from us also.

MiCF Meeting on Feb 18th 2012

Men in CHRIST,

We praise and thank the LORD for his favour upon Men in CHRIST Fellowship ( MiCF ).

We have been praying for a place to hold our monthly meeting for MiCF since April 2010.

On Jan 18th, I met up with the President of Reapfield Properties Sdn Bhd ,Brother David Ong and shared my burden to him . To my surprise he allows us to use Reapfield training room for our monthly meeting starting this Feb 2012 and at no cost for using the room. Praise the Lord.

We confirmed booking the training room this Sat , on Feb 18th from 9.00am to 11.30am and pls invite your friends to join us.

Brother David Ong is going to share with us his personal salvation testimony to the men and pls do not miss the opportunity.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Brothers,

There had been suggestions that the name "CalvaryMen" is no longer appropriate for our group. We are now from at least 6 different churches and we do have some brothers who were not previously from Calvary Church. Although the word "Calvary" is not exclusive to Calvary Church, the continued association in the mind of some can be confusing. Therefore it had been suggested the name be changed. One suggestion is "Men In Christ". This is in line with our tagline, "Building and reaching men in Christ", Ephesians 2:10. I would also support that name with the following from my commentary Bible:

IN CHRIST JESUS.
Every "faithful" believer has life only "in Christ Jesus."
1. The terms "in Christ Jesus," "in the Lord," "in Him," etc., occur 100 times in Paul's writings (36 time in Ephesians). "in Christ" means that the believer now lives and acts in the sphere of Christ Jesus. Union with Christ is the redeemed Christian's new environment. "In Christ" believers have conscious communion with their Lord, and in this relationship with Christ is the most important thing in Christian experience. Union with Christ comes as a gift of God through faith.

2. The Bible contrasts our new life "in Christ" with our old unregenerated life "in Adam." Whereas the old life is characterized by disobedience, sin, condemnation and death, our new life "in Christ" is characterized by salvation, life in the Spirit, abundant grace, righteousness and eternal life.

The best retreat I ever had. For 1st & 2nd prayer retreat in 2008 & 2009, there were 16 CalvaryMen for each year.

In 2010, I asked the Lord for 20 men and God answered my prayer and exactly 20 men signed up.

We booked a dorm and this dorm which can accommodate 20 men exactly. Praise The Lord.

For the last day of the retreat, we supposed to have our lunch before we leave. This lunch was for 20 pax, there were 3 visitors came to our retreat but there were 3 men who left earlier before lunch. 3 visitors took their places so no need to pay extra cost for lunch.

To God Be The Glory. Amen

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUEST :

Brother Cheam Tat Inn's mom who just suffered a mild heart attack yesterday.

Would greatly appreciate if you could pray for God's healing upon her and her salvation .

We claim and believe that she will receive Jesus Christ as her personal Savior . Amen.

PRAYER ANSWERED:

Brother Cheam's mom is recovering well and thanks for who prayed for her.

Also uphold Brother Edwin Marsden in prayer as he & his ICM team to minister at the 1st ICM

Graduation in Nepal and travel to the mountains and start two ICM training centres.

Pray that the students and the pastors will be revived.

Brother Edwin is not feeling well, pls pray for him as the trip is long and going to be rough and tough .

Pray for God's healing upon him and physical strength also victory over every obstacle.

" Praise God and thank God for your prayers. On Sunday when I text you my daughter, Dorothy was

running a high fever with heat rash all over her face. Praise God within 2 to 3 hours the rashes disappeared her temperature dropped to normal. All glory to God in the highest. God bless you."

"Thanks for visiting us. Nixon is getting better by the day. He's really put up some weight after we got back here since we're finally able to put him to constant daily routinity (more sleep, more milk intake, proper medication timing, good hygiene, and most important, less disturbances). We brought him to church just this morning but we didn't get a chance to meet up with Karen since Nixon was resting towards the end of the service. Thanks for the cookies, they're delicious."

BABY NIXON UPDATE

Feb 13th 2011 Update :

Hi Vincent,

Thanks for visiting us. Nixon is getting better by the day. Feb 8th 2011 Update :

Baby Nixon has discharged yesterday and the parent learn to take care of him . Now staying in the hotel just across IJN.

Bring Nixon for check up on Thursday and fly back to Jakarta on Friday ( 11th Feb)

30th Jan 2011 Update:

Nixon is in stable condition, respiratory support took out already, but his lungs are not ready yet.

They are going to keep him in PICU for a bit longer while maintaining reasonable level of oxygen in his blood.

Pls continue to pray for Nixon for that he will transfer to the normal ward and speedy recovery.

Tony Wiriyanto & Angeline Handoko who are friends of Philip Chan & Karen Oon in Indonesia ,request us to pray for their son, Nixon.

Their son Nixon, 4 months suffering from 2 holes in the heart, Nixon already operated in IJN, Institute Jantung Negara, Jalan Tun Razak at 10am yesterday. Now required his heart to pump on his own. Baby in ICU.

CalvaryMen, let us unite our heart upholding Nixon baby and his parent in prayer. Pray that Nixon will gain his conscious and God will heal him completely.

Praise the Lord. Kimhuat and his team are back from their 8-day mission trip early this morning.He is well and I am getting an earful about his trip. He has been talking about nothing but his time in the settlement of the Orang Asli, the Ibanese.

Thank you for your prayers and support for this mission team. In this way,"you all are partakers of grace" (Phil.1: 7) with them. God is great.
